Trick or Treat

Last Saturday, we went to a hunted house that was set up at the local stadium for Halloween.

The entire tour was scary but fun. We scream on the top of our lungs. These people really know their business. We had people with saws chasing us from every turn. My cousin and I were screaming to be let out. We kept saying " I can't believe I paid for this." I mean who pays to be scared? Well, lots of people do. Since the whole thing was full and we had to wait for 30min to even get in. But overall it was cool. We had fun. Then after we left we went to a Halloween party. That didn't go too well. we had too many party poopers.
Or the guy or gal that was trowing the party didn't prepare well. You win some and loose some.
My cousin said "At least our costumes were a success". That was until I read a review on MSN yesterday. Anyways, she dressed up as a sexy bunny and I was a
pussycat. The costume were really cool. I would have even let you see the pictures but it's just too hot! :P

Back in the Kitchen

Tonight we are having a get together at a friends house after futoor. Everyone is supposed to bring something. I choose to make dessert!
Last night my cousins and I went to Walmart to get our baking supplies and ingredients.After long consideration on what to make and arguing what would taste better or what's appropriate for the season we came up with 4 dessert items.
1st we are Pounda cake. here served with strawberries



2nd we made two Pumpkin Pies last night



3rd we are making a Bowl of Tropical fruit salad today



4th we are making mini tart filled with cream cheese and berries


I don't know the exact count of the people that will show up tonight so I hope we made enough for everybody.

USA population hits 300 Millions!

In the past 30 years the United State of America grew a whopping population of 100 Millions. What does that mean for American residents? I'll leave the guess work for the experts to analyze and report.


From the article: The Census Bureau counts the population every 10 years. In between, it uses administrative records and surveys to estimate monthly averages for births, deaths and net immigration. The bureau has a “population clock” that estimates a birth every seven seconds, a death every 13 seconds and a new immigrant every 31 seconds. Add it together and you get one new American every 11 seconds.

There are an estimated 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. Experts differ on the specifics, but many estimate that more than 1 million of them don’t show up in census figures.

“The census clearly misses people,” said Passel, a former Census Bureau employee who used to help estimate the undercount. “Having said that, when they crossed 200 million, they were missing about 5 million people. We think the 2000 census missed a lot less than 5 million people.”

Partying in the month of Ramanda

I just woke up not long ago and my whole body is swore from the dancing I did last night at a party. OSU uni. was hosting the 1st African Beauty pageant yesterday. My cousin was one of the contestant, so I went to show some love and support.
After the pageant they had an after party that we decided to go to. As you can imagine a party with a bunch of college kids is most definitely crazy.
I danced my a$$ off that's for sure. I don't even know where I got all that energy I could not stop. I guess I was having too much fun and of course we had a great DJ.
He played my song alright. Specially that new Justin K. Sexy Back and so many other banging songs. I just loved it.
Didn't get home until a little before 4am. Had some food and decided to stay up a little while to give some time to digest before I went to bed. Which by the time I got to do it was after 5 in the morning. My mom woke me up at 8:30 to take her somewhere I was not a happy camper.
I don't feel sleepy anymore, but I can feel my muscles throbbing like crazy. Anyways, that got me thinking. I am fasting and partying. I don't know if it was cool or not. But hey, I couldn't miss the party. Plus I would have hated my self if I didn't go cuz that party was Hot!

India or Asia?

Yesterday at my Orthodentist appointment.
My Orthodentist was telling me on some of the thing that my Dentist will need to perform so I can complete my treatment. This was one of conversation:

Dr: What is the name of your dentist again?
Me: Dr Tamimi
Dr: Dr Taaammm....?
Me: his name is Dr Ta mee mee
Dr: Oh, I thought it was a She.
Me: No, it's a he
Dr: hum, that's an unusual name. Where is he from?
Me: I am not sure. But I think it's Asia, either India or the neighbouring countries.
Dr: Asia, no way. It can't be. Asia is like China or Japan the sort...

Me: I could be wrong. But I really thought India was part of Asia.
Dr: I don't think so. India is .... uh.... like India. yeah. India is India.
Me: Really? wow, I guess that could be.
Dr: okay well, this is what he will need to do.....

We went on from there. But the whole thing was bugging me. He really messed me up with my geography. The whole day I was thinking about it. Saying to myself I am going to google it out as soon as I get home.
Needless to say I forgot until late at night I was watching Comedy Central a stand up with an India guy form Canada. He made the comment why people can get it that India is part of Asia.

I say: Bingo!! I knew I was right.
Amazing how people here are so closed off about other continents.
